Leveraging cell-derived bioparticles for macromolecular delivery

Producing cell-derived bioparticles

The ability to safely and efficiently deliver macromolecules into cells within the body is required for many emerging therapeutic strategies. In our lab, we study mechanisms of intercellular biomolecule transfer to inform the development of new macromolecular delivery modalities. We use functional genomics, protein engineering, directed evolution, and cellular engineering to investigate the biology of cell-derived bioparticles and explore their use as therapeutic delivery vehicles.
